Welcome to Goobity. Goobity is owned and operated by EJ ("we", "us", or "our"). We build local desktop utility tools that give your system character and security. We believe that what happens on your desktop should stay on your desktop. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the permissions and sensory elements of the Goobity application, as well as the information we collect on our website.

2. Local-Only Processing (Our Core Philosophy)

Unlike standard SaaS and surveillance applications, Goobity is built to run 100% locally. The application requires sensitive system privileges to perform security and automation functions, but all associated data is calculated strictly in your machine's temporary memory or local storage. It is never transmitted to us or any third parties.

👁️ Webcam Captures

Webcam snapshot bursts taken when the alarm state is triggered are stored exclusively in your local app data captures folder. No photos are ever uploaded or transmitted online. You can view, manage, and delete these captures directly from your local settings panel.

🎤 Sound Spike Monitoring

The smart volume sensor analyzes audio amplitude levels in real time to register double claps or snaps. The raw microphone stream is processed transiently inside your CPU to match armed thresholds. We never record, log, store, or transmit your audio streams or ambient sounds.

⌨️ Mouse and Keyboard Hooks

Goobity uses system input hooks to trigger the alarm siren on unauthorized mouse movement/scroll events, and to listen for your custom disarm key combination. This tracking is executed entirely at the OS process level. We do not maintain key logs or upload keyboard activity data.

3. Remote Data Collection

To support account licensing and payments, we integrate with a limited number of standard third-party services. The only remote data flows are detailed below:

Supabase Authentication: If you register or purchase a Premium account, your email address, creation timestamp, and hashed password credentials are sent to and stored securely on our database hosts (Supabase). This is necessary to manage your license and sync your preferences.
PayPal Payments: When you purchase Premium features, payment processing is handled securely and directly by PayPal. EJ/Goobity does not store, see, or have access to your credit card details, billing numbers, or payment accounts.
Website Visitor Logs: We host this website using standard web hosting platforms (such as Cloudflare). These services collect anonymous logs (like browser type, IP location country, and page views) to prevent DDOS attacks and measure visitor traffic. No individual tracking is conducted.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your email address or personal credentials to third-party marketing companies, advertisers, or aggregators. We only disclose account-related data under the following conditions:

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal warrants.
To protect and defend our intellectual property rights or the safety of our users.
To third-party infrastructure providers (like Supabase and hosting systems) strictly to maintain operations.

5. Your Control and Rights

Because the app's security logic is local, you have full control over your data:

Revoking Permissions: You can revoke Goobity's system access to the microphone, camera, or input accessibility systems at any time through your OS settings (Windows Settings or macOS System Settings).
Deleting Captures: You can wipe all stored webcam captures by opening the settings window and deleting files, or manually erasing the Goobity folder.
Account Deletion: If you wish to delete your premium account and wipe your email from our Supabase database, contact us at the address below, and we will purge your record immediately.
